Create Over Cocktails FUNdraiser Basics:

Create over Cocktails offers you the option of hosting your own FUNdraising paint party!  For registered charities (or if you are able to provide a tax receipt), we offer the option of hosting a general Create over Cocktails Fundraiser event open to the public.  For other Fundraisers, we offer the option of hosting a private party for you and your family and friends to raise money for the cause.  For private party options, please visit this link for more information.

What Is Required to Book a FUNdraiser?

To book a general Create over Cocktails FUNdraiser event open to the public, we ask for an initial $100 deposit to hold your preferred date, a 25-guest minimum, and a tax receipt after the event has ended and the donation is made.  The initial deposit can either be applied to ticket costs or it can be refunded after the event has taken place.

How Much Money Is Raised?

On top of our regular $41 taxes included per person ticket fee, you can charge whatever you’d like (typically $40-50+tax per person).  In addition, we donate an additional $5 off every ticket sold to the cause.  Tickets are generally sold through our ticketing site.  However, we can place a certain number aside for you and your family and friends to ensure you get your tickets.  Another option is to host a private or semi-private Fundraiser, allowing you to sell off the tickets yourself (or most of them, opening it up to the public at a later time) and paying us the balance as a lump sum in the end.  In any case, the donation is made through Create over Cocktails and must be issued a tax receipt for the full donation amount.  Donations may take up to one month to be processed and are issued directly to the charity via cheque or electronic deposit.

How Is the FUNdraiser Advertised?

For a general Create over Cocktails FUNdraiser event open to the public, we will promote the event along with our other events for that month, etc.  This includes visibility on the ticket site, website, social media pages, including a Facebook event page, and regular plugs for the FUNdraiser at our other general events.  IMPORTANT: While we are providing the means for raising funds and will advertise accordingly, we STRONGLY suggest you have a following for your cause and are willing to provide additional advertising in order to sell tickets and achieve optimal results (and to meet the required 25-person minimum).

What Dates Are Available For FUNdraisers?

Send us a message to discuss available dates/times.  We recommend at least two-four weeks’ advance notice.  Slots are given on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to book your FUNdraiser well in advance – slots will fill up quickly!

How Long Are FUNdraisers?

Our events take 2 hours to complete your painting, start-to-finish.  If you want to keep the party going before or after your painting session, go wild!

What Venues Are Available for FUNdraisers & How Many Guests Can Be Accommodated?

Currently, our available venues in the Saint John and Fredericton areas include those listed here with other venues being added all the time.  Create over Cocktails can also come to you!  If you supply the tables and chairs, we will provide all art supplies necessary.  If your event location is outside 40km of Saint John, a traveling fee may be added.

What Will Be Provided?

Create over Cocktails will provide the paint, brushes, smocks, canvases, easels, and the fun. Depending on your chosen venue, you are welcome to bring your own beverages and food or have your event catered by a local restaurant. If booked for one of our venues, menus will be available. You are also welcome to bring decorations for your event! Currently, we only provide acrylic experiences at FUNdraisers but we will be expanding our range of experiences offered very soon!

What Can I Paint?

Anything you want! We have several paintings in our gallery to choose from, or for an additional fee you can collaborate with one of our artists to have a unique masterpiece inspired by you! (at least 1 months’ notice required.) You will be given a 16 x 20 inch canvas for your painting. What about Kids or Family Events?

Although most of our regularly scheduled events require participants to be at least 19 years of age, when scheduling a FUNdraiser, we only suggest participants are ages 7 and older.  The age limit is up to you!

What If I Need To Cancel My FUNdraiser?

Initial FUNdraiser deposits are strictly non-refundable. If you must postpone or cancel your Fundraiser for any reason, including not reaching the 25-person minimum, the deposit will be forfeit.  Cancellations can be made via email or by calling 506.607.1141.  Create over Cocktails reserves the right to cancel an event due to rare, unforeseen circumstances, and in such cases notification will be sent at least 4 hours prior to class and participants will have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

 

Once again, initial deposits will be processed at the time FUNdraisers are booked and are NON-REFUNDABLE. If the 25-person minimum is not met, the initial deposit is forfeit.
