How can I find out specifics about an event & purchase tickets?

To find out more information about an event after navigating to the events page, click on the event title to bring up additional information including price, event length, and suggested age requirement.  To purchase a ticket, simply click “add to cart” and follow the secure on-site payment process through using any major credit card or your PayPal account.  If you are a returning customer, you’ll be able to log in to your account, bypass entering repeat information, and select any coupons you may have!

 

Do you offer Private Parties?

We do host Private Parties for a variety of functions, including birthdays, home parties, ladies’ nights, holiday parties, showers, bachelorettes, retirement parties, office parties, and more.  Most of our information for Private Parties can be found by clicking here.

When and where can I hold a Private Party?

Contact us to discuss available dates and times for Private Parties.  Slots are given on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to book your Party well in advance – slots fill up quickly!

Currently, our available venues in the Saint John and Fredericton area include but are not limited to the venue list found here.  Create over Cocktails can also come to you!  If you supply the tables and chairs, we will provide all art supplies necessary and travel to the venue of your choice, including your home.  Parties within 40km of Saint John or Fredericton cost a minimum of $492 taxes included and allow for up to 12 people.  Each extra guest is an additional $41 taxes included, and the maximum occupancy is 60 people without advanced notice.  An initial, nonrefundable $200 deposit is required upon reservation.  Outside of the 40km from Saint John or Fredericton, parties cost a minimum of $820 taxes included and allows for up to 20 people.  Any extra guests cost an additional $41 taxes included each.  An initial, nonrefundable $400 deposit is required upon reservation.  If your event location is outside the 40km limit, a traveling fee may be added as well.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel my Private Party?

If you must reschedule your private party for any reason, we must receive your request 7 days or more before your event was originally scheduled to take place.  You may only reschedule a private party once.  If you reschedule a second time, it will be considered a cancellation and a new non-refundable deposit will be charged to book the new requested date.  If cancelled within 7 days of your event you will still be charged the remaining balance in full.

Initial private party deposits are strictly non-refundable. If you must cancel your private party for any reason, you will not be charged the remaining balance so long as we receive your cancellation request 7 days or more before your event is scheduled. If you cancel within 7 days of your event you will still be charged the remaining balance in full.  Cancellations can be made by contacting us.  Create Over Cocktails reserves the right to cancel an event due to rare, unforeseen circumstances, and in such cases notification will be sent at least 4 hours prior to the event and you will have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

Once again, initial deposits will be processed at the time parties are booked and are non-refundable. The remaining amount for the booking will be due within 7 days of your event.

Do you host Childrens’ Events or Private Parties?

If you are interested in events for minors, we offer Private Parties as well as Create over Mocktails (family friendly) and Create over Cupcakes (children only) events.  Be sure to sign up to be notified of upcoming events.

 

When and how does my Private Party deposit and balance need to be paid?

The nonrefundable deposit is required upon reservation to book the day and time with us and the venue space (if applicable).

The balance for the original stated number of estimated guests must be paid within 7 days of your event.  By that time, supplies for at least that number of guests have been purchased, the artist has been hired, and the venue and ourselves have dedicated the chosen day, time, and space to your party, making it difficult to rebook.  If there are additional guests (within reason) at the event, the difference may be paid at that time.  Please collect the balance due for any additional guests (individual payments will not be accepted) and pay the artist in full before the event begins.  We cannot refund for any “no-shows.”

Both the deposit and balance can be paid via credit, debit (email money transfer), or cash.  Please let us know which method you prefer by contacting us.

What creations can I choose from for a Private Party, Corporate Event, or FUNdraiser?

All of our creations already available can be found on our gallery.  If you don’t see a creation you like in the gallery, for an additional fee you can collaborate with one of our artists to have a unique masterpiece inspired by you! (at least 1 month’s notice required.).

How can I organize a FUNdraiser?

Do you offer Gift Certificates?

We do offer Gift Certificates!  You can purchase a Gift Certificate by click here.

How do I redeem my Gift Certificate?

After you’ve had a look at all the events, added tickets to your cart, and are ready to check out, simply enter your gift certificate code in the coupon code box and hit “apply coupon.”  That’s it!  Easy peasy!  See you soon!

Can I purchase tickets for an event over the phone?

Sorry, tickets are purchased online via credit card or PayPal account.  However, if you do not have a credit card or are having issues with purchasing your tickets online, please contact us.

Is a minimal age required to attend an event?

Although we won’t be checking IDs, most of our general events are advertised and run as “adult” events.  We strongly suggest participants be age 19 and over.  Please use your discretion when bringing a minor to a Create over Cocktails event.  Our venues are licensed and may require ID when ordering alcoholic beverages.  If you are interested in events specifically for minors, we offer Private Parties as well as Create over Mocktails (family friendly) and Create over Cupcakes (children only) events.  Be sure to sign up to be notified of upcoming events.

What is your refund & exchange policy?

Sorry, no refunds, exchanges, or transfers to future events.  Each event is a unique experience, most similar to a concert.  ID, ticket, or receipt may be requested upon arrival.  In the case of bad weather, events will proceed as planned unless city buses are pulled off the road and/or the venue closes.  Create over Cocktails maintains the right to cancel events at any time for whatever reason, including bad weather, providing an alternate date or full credit towards a future event of your choice.  No refunds will be given.

Is my ticket transferable?

Although we don’t offer refunds, exchanges, or transfers to future events, you may transfer your ticket to a friend if you are unable to attend.  You may also resell your ticket to a third party if you can no longer attend the event.  If requested, Create over Cocktails extends the courtesy to post available tickets to our Facebook event pages in an attempt to facilitate the resale of tickets.  The last name the tickets were originally purchased under, ID, ticket, or receipt may be requested upon arrival.

How do I register or check in at an event? Do I need my ticket?

Please arrive between 15-30 min. before the event to register.  Seating is first-come, first-serve, so please come early if you’re with a group or if sitting beside your pal is a must.  For larger groups of 6 or more registered under the same name, we will have pre-saved seats for you.  Once you arrive, please find a host or assistant (we’ll be up at the front of the room or in the midst of finishing setting up, depending on how early you arrive) and check in with them.  We work off a guest list so you can present either your ticket or the name the ticket was purchased under to register.  The host will give you a canvas to place on an empty easel to save a seat.  Now you’re free to grab a drink at the bar or some munchies before we begin to create!

How can I save seats for my group?

Can I bring outside food and drinks into the venue?

Typically, as this is against food code regulations, the answer is no.  However, you are free to contact the venue and make the special request.  We partner with venues who are willing to offer their space at no extra charge to guests in exchange for their patronage.
