“Tomorrow’s Strength” – Saint John
It’s endo awareness month! So we’re spreading the word with this gorgeous painting!
Endometriosis is one of the most far-reaching, devastating, and misunderstood diseases in the world today. The disease is a chronic gynaecological malfunction which causes severe pain and infertility in addition to a long list of other serious conditions. It is estimated that there are over 176 million women and girls who suffer from endometriosis worldwide and that number is growing all the time. It is more common than breast cancer or Aids but few people have actually heard of it. Come on out and paint for a purpose, raising awareness of this devastating disease, and learn more about it here, and consider making a donation below to The Endometriosis Network Canada to provide education, support, awareness, and resources for those with endometriosis, and those affected by it!

The Endometriosis Network Canada is a volunteer-run, incorporated, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to facilitate & promote a patient-centred approach to managing endometriosis. They aim to reduce the diagnostic delay from 8 – 12 years that frequently follows visiting multiple doctors, and receiving conflicting or incorrect information. Long delays in diagnosing endometriosis result in more years of pain and suffering, and lost productivity. Living with debilitating symptoms without a diagnosis often results in dismissal of symptoms by friends, family, and medical professionals, and this can lead to anxiety, depression, and social isolation.
To accomplish this The Endometriosis Network Canada is working to provide:
- Education of teens to ensure earlier recognition of symptoms
- Education for those with endometriosis, and their support people
- Increased awareness of endometriosis in the general public
- A support network accessible nationwide through the use of online forums, social media, and in-person support programs
The Endometriosis Network Canada will work to reduce the burden of living with such a life-altering condition.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the event’s start time to allow time to sign in, order drinks, and get settled in as painting will begin promptly at the scheduled start time.
Once you arrive, please find an artist or assistant (we’ll be up at the front or in the midst of setting up, depending on how early you arrive) and check in with them. We work off a guest list so you can present either your ticket (paper or electronic) or the name the ticket was purchased under to register. To save a seat, simply place the canvas you’ll be given on an empty easel. Now you’re free to grab a drink at the bar before we begin to paint!
